Best guest ever!

I want more Ravi/Sonia interplay.

I'm intrigued by February sweeps...

yeah, engaging guest .... loved his wacky horizontal exit. keep up the good work!

steve -- wow, best guest ever?! Hopefully we'll start trickling in both sweeps teases and events for the next few... and then return to the humdrum!

ken -- Back east our horns act as the sole voice of righteousness we have against the tyranny on the roads!

brian -- I have to admit the horizontal exit caught me by surprise...

I'm with Steve (above) -- More Ravi/Sonia!

You often compare your show to tv talk shows. The first 20 minutes of those shows don't usually have guests.

People are tuning in cuz they like YOU.

anonymous -- thanks for the comment. I go back and forth with this (opening banter and such)... I felt like cutting to the chase with this one due to timing, but maybe we can stretch the format out a bit?

Did Sonia knit that scarf herself? It's gorgeous!

Hi Ravi + Sonia. It’s a mad world ‘belt-sanding races’ how on earth do you over clock those electric motors? How does one get the edge on speed? is it the grade of the sand paper ...

You may not be aware of our eccentricities here in the UK including ‘welly-wanging’ (how far can a wellington boot be thrown?) and cheese rolling where grown! men chase a large round cheese down a steep hill (ambulance always on standby for broken legs and arms)

Anyway … I liked the show and your guest (Sonia seemed surprised – how was that!) as said, loads of energy ..

Hey!

Watching from Toronto, Canada here.

I must say you were my first and still favourite podcast. You even inspired me to start my own weekly video podcast.

I love the format. Keep up the great work.

ken -- as soon as I saw the phrase "more work for you" my eyes glazed over... when I came to moments later, I slowly read through the whole post. Hmmm... different versions? DriveTime Lite? DriveTime XL? The mind reels at the branding opportunities. Alas, I think the single canonical episode per week will continue (with some pushing and pulling of format in multi-episodic arcs).

anonymous -- thanks for the link. Alas, my odometer is forever frozen on 102653 or something like that. But I'll pass this onto Johnny!

sue -- I'll let Sonia either confirm or deny that!

english brian -- my mind reels at the thought of a massive wheel of cheddar bouncing down a luscious english heath! Huck knows all the secrets on how to win... he told me so!

cooking kitty corner -- excellent! I'm going to check your video out right now, for sure! (my tip o' the hat to Canada)

livemtl -- re: the backwindow shade, check the DriveTime Science Friday episode.

Thanks for the Double D coffee tip -- they're one competitor for our coffee time!

Ravi,

When is sweeps week?

Don

Ravi said...

Don,

We are knee-deep in sweeps -- frantically trying to pull out all the stops!

Da*mit! I'm always screwing this up. Let me get this straight, people stop watching DVDs during February and watch, like, live television? Man, that is so retro that it is cool. Ravi, you are so cutting edge.

Don,

You don't even need to watch TV to enjoy sweeps! It's all a state of mind...

This episode cracked me up! It has a "Robot Wars" and "Beyond Tomorrow" feel about it. I can see a Motorcross version of the belt sander races, sort of like how snowboarding has morphed into that for the Olympics.

Ravi said...

Funny you mention the Olympics, katwalla... we have a DriveTime Olympic Moment in the new episode!
