La la l-la la la.... More Dr. B! And yes, Sonia is the secret weapon! And she likes chocolate.
Since I've been extoling potential guests to get off their "duff" and vault into the guest chair of Studio-V (or perhaps the risen Studio-A?), I figure I should get off my duff to get back to the loyal DriveTime commenters!
So thanks for jumping first out of the gate jonnydock! I'll pass on your good wishes to Dr. B. And Sonia does indeed like chocolate... I got her something called "Extreme Dark" the other day which was a big hit.
aligor -- I couldn't agree more of your assessment of Dr. B (or Dr. Bee!) Maybe he'll be like 'Q' on Star Trek and pop in every now and then.
Ravi, Sonia, Dr. B. Awesome. I was giddy watching this episode. The sad moment when you announced the possible death of Hosey, and then the irrepressible money grab that Sonia so smartly and properly put down. (How did you get so lucky to marry Sonia?) I only wish you'd admonished the students to ride their friggin'bicycles instead of driving to class - don't they want to save the planet? - traffic was horrible today!
glad to see you back in beantown. i can't wait to see your fair city at the end of the month. it'll be my first time in boston. do you recommend any sight seeing while i'm in town? i won't have a ton of time but i'll try and sneak away during a boring session at the No Fluff Just Stuff conference.
johnny -- we'll save the planet by driving those students to class! Maybe new students can get little electric scooters to zip around in until they get their bearings (a variation of my early '90s observation that Oberlin frosh should have gotten little Shriner's cars to zip around campus for the first couple of weeks.)
[DriveTime clarification: Hosey = slang term for Studio-A, usually affectionate.]
worm 2 -- I thought this conference might have something to do with the recent hubbub over fluffernutter here in Boston.
Hmmm... first time in Boston?
Some sort of conference with the word "Fluff" in it?
Sounds like fodder for a DriveTime appearance! I recommend following Dr. B's advice and dropping us a line to the DriveTime E-Glovebox.
Why? Whence asked to pretend driving, do you break into the smurf song? If I recall the little smurflings weren't really motorists.
Show suggestion: going way back to the episode with "Chronicle Mary." I doubt you'll ever get some zoo to let you drive around with their animals (well maybe that crooked one on 60 minutes.) How about critters from an animal shelter that need adoption. A sort of Wednesday's child for the Drivetime set.

Doctor Bee has charm, charisma, a great voice and a brilliant moustache. It's a no-brainer. Bring him back! (please)

Wow that was a cute episode! LOVED Dr. B right off. Bring him back! :D
But I noticed some things...
1) Sonia had her hair down for the first time and it looked really nice. She has a nice curl going. :D
2) Ravi, your hair looked a bit windblown. LOL no offense, it looked good on you. :D
3) I love Dr B's voice... is he a radio announcer or actor? From his picture I had this mental image he might sound like Victor Borge.
And 4)...
Did I hear you say "crap A..." on the show? ROFL Naughty... but heck I curse in my car too. People can't drive here. :P It's annoying.
Great show as always. You are my favorite show online. :D
~L~
Heck forgot to add...
Has Sonia ever tried any Japanese chocolate? It's like american stuff but better. Has a different taste to it.
Let me know and I'll hook her up. Or if you have some asian markets there... look for Morinaga, glico, meiji as name brands. :D

Dr. B rocks! The FAQs were great!
as instructed, an email has been sent to the glovebox.
I've been out in Vega$ for work (no DriveTime episodes, I was riding shotgun all weekend).
lehas -- thanks for the astute observations and chocolate recommendations.
melanie -- I will channel your enthusiasm directly to Dr. B!
worm 2 -- once I navigate through all of the DriveTime spam, I will follow up.
Ravi,
Doctor B.!
I love Dr. B.
I vote for Amy from Amyville as a guest. She just quit her job and is free to be a guest.
And fans of Amy want more Amy!
Yamy!
--Steve
I'm new to Drive Time, but I couldn't imagine no more Dr. B!
steve -- you are the second DriveTime viewer to recommend Amy. The people have spoken!
anonymous -- Welcome aboard. We're working on Doctor B's return... really, we are!

Dr B is one of my favorite people and I haven't seen him in years. This brought a big smile to my face.
