Episode Twenty-One

Ravi and Sonia welcome their first "unknown" guest -- his identity shrouded by the grace of the DriveTime digital elves -- who explains his blog precogs.net. Ravi encourages him to embrace his anonymity with the aid of a paper bag... before revealing his true identity to the world.

And evening hours in the studio reemerge for the first time since October.

Awesome special effects, yo! Although I kinda wish you had given me a deeper voice, too.

It's good to see that "Studio A" survived it's "Episode Twenty" repairs and is back in the current studio mainstream. And the laid back, post "Drivetime" evening slot definitely made it with the atmospheric lighting and simple shopping list. Keep it coming.

dashiell -- the DriveTime audio elves called in sick!

!!! -- oh that lighting! Studio-A is none the worse for wear after it's trip to the shop. We might "hear" from Studio-A in a future episode...

david -- e-muffs! It's always a push and pull with getting the right balance of episode length, pre-guest banter (in this case, "post") and guest exploration. This has been a topic of recent episode comment threads and everyone has their own particular preference -- damn it, that's democracy! Except it's up to me. Well, I've said it before -- when I get that magic balance in an episode, my time here will be done!

hey now,
i enjoy watching your drivingtime tv show on the internets.

perhaps a little intro/outro music is needed? (w/ a lil'cowbell please) seriously.

hey, how about cutting to the "under-the-hood" camera? (nightvision)
or a bumper cam ?
just thinking,
-brian

The bag seemed a little too "Syriana" for a me.

I forgot to mention though, that as a kid I used to do my Unknown Comic impression to entertain the family. Too many memories!

Oh, and since I realize now that I didn't say it here... thanks again for having me as a guest! It was great fun.

david -- your vote is noted (with worth!)

brian -- mayhaps a hiatus is in order while we gussy up DriveTime?

ken -- it may have been my stomach grumbling, but I actually think it was another offending vehicle (we were in the parking lot at that point.) The kiss was supposed to be subliminal (I'll go trim 6 frames...)

I encourage arm twisting guests -- keep at it!

dashiell -- we enjoyed having you (despite not being able to hogtie you, so to speak).

We'll get a bag on the head of guest before we're done here!!

I'll put a bag on my head if I'm ever in the area!

BTW, did you guys see our DriveTime "tribute" when we interviewed the DJ? I may have missed the comments if you did. When was that... *goes to look*

Ravi said...

jeshii -- I didn't know about this tribute! I wrote a post on Raviblog about this... and duly commented on the Yamato Damacy site of course!

With our powers combined, we form... The VLOGOSPHERE!

jeshii -- I think that vlogosphere has already emerged from the primordial blog ooze without the benefits of our powers! ;-)
