It's a full house as Ravi and Sonia welcome the rock trio
Apple Betty into the
DriveTime Musical Backseat Studio for an acoustic performance.
And Sonia holds down the Studio-V fort as Ravi searches high and low for the new
Presidential Dollar.
If that weren't enough, stick around for the promo to the first ever
DriveTime Extra -- a bonus hidden Apple Betty track.

Fun idea to have a group perform in the car. Would love to see more. This redefines the term "intimate performance." :)
Wish we could have heard the back seat a little better, though.

ps. You're on blip now. Awesome! Much better download performance.
Who needs a radio with a band in the back seat? It would be great to see (and hear) more local musicians on DriveTime.
"Live from the Studio V back seat, an exclusive performance..."
Great show!
I'm usually not into indie music but they were pretty good. Will go check out their site when I get off work. :D
Looks like it's still cold up yonder there. Texas is feeling the warmth of Spring's breath upon us... although it's in the upper 70s so it's getting to feel more like her sister Summer already. ;)

joe c -- are you suggesting the DriveTime BackSeat Camera?! And I have tried switching over to blip -- thanks for the confirmation of quicker downloads.
hey ross -- glad you enjoyed the show and Apple Betty! If you're in the Boston area, you should head out to one of their shows.
rich -- I couldn't agree with you more! We're already working to get the next band for the backseat. Perhaps a limited edition CD could result? "The Studio-V BackSeat Sessions"!
way to keep an open mind lehsa! It has indeed been wintry up here which is actually somewhat welcome, since it is February, after all.
GREAT SHOW GUYS~~~~!!! Enjoyed the band. Can't wait for the next installment of DRIVETIME.
Bill A. -- an all-caps THANKS! ;-) Glad you enjoyed it.
DriveTime is back on track !!!
More live music please ... y'know, it IS possible to plug an amplifier into a car's 12V battery (w/ a 120V AC converter)
... you can borrow mine.
KERRANG!!!

Alright, so I admit, I really have no clue what "Indie" music is. I'm more of a Merle Haggard, Frank Sinatra kind of fella, but after watching the show, I kind of dug it.. so I bought their CD off of iTunes.
Ravi, Sophie.. your expanding my cultural essence with every show. I think thats a good thing... right? h
Great show. Reminded me of the behind closed doors series of the vpro (dutch television). You can find one on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_7g3HyKocY
And offcourse on vpro.nl.
As usual, great show.
Just a suggestion, have you considered making DriveTime available on YouTube? I know DriveTime isn't typical YouTube fare, but a (somewhat) similarly themed vid was recently featured.
The Jeannie Tate Show
Again, just a thought.
brian -- we may borrow your device not only for a Dylan-does-Electric kind of deal, but also to assist in any electric-based in-car cooking (a hint of the next episode).
that's the open-minded spirit ricky!
thanks for the LiftTime link, erik!
cj -- I have shied away from YouTube but might consider deployment there... I've got to read the "fine print". The DriveTime lawyers are preparing the "DriveTime vs. Jeannie Tate Show" case as we speak!
