I've been getting some wonkiness with the download of the episode off of archive.org -- it doesn't seem to want to "fast start", but waits for the whole episode to download.

I've re-checked all pertinent settings and even re-FTPed the file.

If it persists, I can work with it this evening.

david,

i linked to the gallery green street in the episode description, but are you suggesting more like a list of linked topics?

oh -- or are you suggesting in the video clip itself provide some links? so when james talks about the gallery -- the URL comes up on the screen? like the drivetime URL at the end?

am I asking too many clarifying questions?!

brian,

as crazy as the idea sounds, maybe i could get someone from the forest hills zoo?! but then it would de-volve into a Three Abreast episode where the big client comes into the office and we have to make a fake signs that say, "Take Your Monkey to Work Day"!

Thanks for the thumbs up, ebj3.

I'm getting really addicted to Drive Time, after only 3 episodes. I tried to get my daughter (who travels from Jamaica Plain to Berklee College) to check you out, but (a) she rides her bike to work, and (b) she is leery about getting into a car with a stranger. Owell!

But thanks for posting the picture of the camera mount. I wanted to know what it looked like as well.

Ooh Bev,

I've been thinking I'd like to have a musician on the program! What can we do to convince your daughter I'm not creepy?

-- my wife rides with me to work
-- I went to Oberlin, so can appreciate music education
-- I bike to work in the summer months

If she has a performance or something that she wants to promote it could garner some interest.

And if I get my act together she could end up with an official DriveTime mug for being a guest!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I read about your videoblog on Boing Boing - I literally laughed out loud at work. It seemed like a really crazy idea! But after watching three episodes I must say that your idea works. Thanks for the episodes so far, looking forward to watching a lot more of them!

You said you ride your bike to work during summer? Will you be having you camera mounted on the bike as well? ;-)

I liked how it cut to black when James closed the car door.

Nice edit.

Oh Sebastian, we've got some tricks up our sleeve for the biking season!

Ravi said...

Thanks Steve -- that's one of the few edits that's *not* of the hack n' slash variety!

Love drive time. Came over from Boing Boing. To bad I live on the other side of the Boston area and my commute isn't on your route.

Looking forward to the next episode.
